Sitra was responsible for commissioning of ABB make remote telemetry units at 106 sub stations in & around Hyderabad, integration of these RTUs to master control centre situated at Kalyan Nagar, Erragadda, Hyderabad. Other responsibilities include engineering & customisation of UNIX based SCADA software (SPIDER) and single point contact for maintenance of the entire SCADA systems consisting of alpha servers, microwave radio communication equipment, battery chargers and DC-DC converters. Currently sitra is providing performance based maintenance support with more than 99% availability of the system.
